Firstly, apologies for the connectivity issues you experienced this morning, the cause of the interruption was a Denial of Service at the carrier/DC level that took some time for our provider in Dallas 2 to resolve. The connection problems occurred upstream of our infrastructure, unfortunately therefore out of our ability to resolve directly, your VMs remained "on" and viable throughout, and there is no risk of data damage or loss.
We are working with the DC provider to ensure this does not occur in future and any external attacks do not affect access to our network.
